The Start Here
Origin
As I've gotten older, I've found myself thinking more often about my grandfathers. One served in World War II. One cut hair on a Navy ship to earn extra money while raising a young family. One started a grocery store. One owned several businesses. I would give almost anything to sit down with them today and ask questions. What were they worried about? How did they think about risk? Why did they decide to start those businesses? What mattered most to them? Many of those answers are gone. Not because they weren't important. Because they were never written down.
The Legacy
As I became a father, I realized the same thing could happen to my own family. The decisions we make. The lessons we learn. The fears we carry. The mistakes we make. The ideas that change us. Much of it disappears unless someone takes the time to preserve it. This website is my attempt to leave a different kind of record. Not a highlight reel. Not a resume. Not a personal brand.
The Core Philosophy
A collection of lessons and reflections gathered while building a life centered on family, freedom, ownership, and work. All are connected by one question: How do we build a life with more time for the people we love? If my children someday understand me better, this project succeeded. Mission: Preserving the lessons that shape a life before they're forgotten.
